A-W15 Inspired Makeup Look (4 of 6)

With summer coming to an end our attention turns to this season’s beauty trends. Personally I’m mostly interested in the makeup looks rocking the latest cat walk shows, so today I’m here with an autumn/winter inspired look that focuses on a natural & flawless skin with shades on apricot as the main emphasis. Here’s how you can create the look at home…

Start off with clean & moisturised skin, the most important thing to any makeup look is making sure you have looked after your skin first.
To create a natural looking base, you will need to use the lightest formula in your collection. L’Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream is a great budget option, which gives a decent amount of coverage with a flawless finish. For a dewy look you want to use a light reflective powder to set it in place and I highly recommend the affordable Bourjois Rice Powder.

If skin blemishes are a concern for you, then concealer is your best friend. Using a technique similar to Lisa Eldrige’s Spot Concealing to build up the coverage only where it is actually needed is the best way to achieve a very natural finish. My personal worry is all about under eye circles so I used the light reflective No. 7 Instant Radiance Under Eye Concealer.
The next step is adding depth & colour to the flawless canvas you have created so far. Clarins Aquatic Treasures Bronzer is a great option for bronzing the skin and it also helps in achieving that deeper apricot hue which is what we are focusing on. To make the most of my bronzer I also used it in the crease of my eyes for added depth and blended it out to make it look very natural.

To make the eyes pop even further I added the shade Golden Red (209) from the KIKO Infinity range. This shade can look scary when applied on it’s own but blended out with the Clarins Aquatic Treasures Bronzer, gives the eyes a very soft warm tone. To make the most of this stunning eye shadow I’ve also used it as my blush of choice. The key here is to gradually build up the colour by lightly adding it to the cheeks and then blending it out with your bronzer for a natural tone. Finish the eyes with a few coats of your favourite mascara for voluminous lashes. One of my personal favourites is Benefit They’re Real Mascara. To keep the skin looking natural & dewy, the next focus is on highlighting all the right areas of the face. A cream based product like Benefit Watts Up Highlighter can give you a gorgeous sheen & glow to the face without the glitter.

Brows need to be defined but in a very natural way, so a tinted gel/mousse texture like the Benefit Gimme Brow is a great option.

Lastly the focus is on the lips, which you want to keep very soft & natural so a matte formula works best. The Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipsticks are a very luxurious option & the shade I used here Amazing Grace brings the whole look together perfectly.
